    Mourning pendant for Capt. Thomas Adams (1743-1796) of Boston, and his son, Thomas Jr. (1771-1788). The front features a miniature painting depicting Niobe weeping at the monument to the deceased father and son under a willow tree. The hair chamber on the reverse contains the hair of both men and is mounted in a cobalt blue glass surround.
